Sally Beauty Supply is carrying a new line of hair products specifically aimed at their natural hair clientele: Beautiful Textures!
I was tickled to learn about this newcomer online and on Twitter. I consider myself a connoisseur of natural hair products, and so I made it my mission to find out more about BT. It debuted about a week or do ago, and I took a little trip to my local Sally's to check it out.
I purchased the Shine and Silken, and the first thing I noticed was the long list of natural ingredients in this multipurpose hair oil...yaayyy! Secondly, as I opened up the bottle, a lovely fragrance wafted out and up to my nose...*sigh* I knew that the lovely smell was indicative of the ABSENCE of "cones" , petroleum, and mineral oil, which can clog the pores and give off bad odors after awhile on the hair. That was such a good sign!
After taking time to apply the oil to my hair, I have to say that, overall, I am pleased with the performance of this product. It makes my hair soft and more manageable. It also makes my scalp feel good :-) The only complaint that I have is that for my hair, it doesn't make it silky shiny. Then again, due to my dense curls, very few products do, so I am okay with that!
In addition, the 6 ounce bottle was only $5.99, which I consider to be a real steal. In fact, the whole line is very reasonably priced, and it makes it more affordable to try several products at once. And it doesn't hurt that Sally's is usually pretty close to anywhere you might live, so you can avoid the high shipping costs that come with having to order only online.
I think this is a good time to swing by your local Sally's and try some Beautiful Textures today. I don't think you will be disappointed!
Enjoy,
Dee
