To color, or not to color....that is truly the question!

I have gray hairs.
Notice that I said, "hairs" and not "hair". Yes, a few strands have relinquished their dark brown hue in favor of a sprig of silver...ish. A lot of them cluster in a distinguished spot, while others comprise a sprinkling of silver all over my head.
This is another blessing of my early forties, and while I have squared with the concept that those hairs will not regain their coloring on their own, I am left pondering the question:
Should I color my hair?
I wear a cute, teeny afro, and I don't see that changing anytime soon (my daughters' long hair is where I focus my attention these days). So, much to my advantage, it doesn't take a whole lot of time to color my own hair, and thus, it doesn't cost a mint either. I also enjoy my adorable patch of gray, and I believe I sport it well ;-)
Nevertheless, I think my biggest question that I keep asking myself is if the gray ages me. I want to look my very best, and certainly I want my looks to reflect the youth and vibrancy I feel on the inside. Will coloring my hair help me do that? I think it might.
But then I wrestle with the commitment of HAVING to keep coloring once I start (keeping up the illusion, if you will). Do I really want to do that?
I stopped by Sally Beauty for some color earlier today and ended up walking out of there empty-handed. This really has me thinking, for sure!
What do you think? What are your reasons for coloring/not coloring? Let me know...I'd love to hear from you,
Grey and thinking,

I've always had respect for women who don't color when they start to get some grey. My mom is over 60 now and still has a lot of very dark hair but quite a bit of grey and I love how her hair is greyed! She has never colored it, she still has long'ish hair and it's really nice. My hope is that my hair will grey the same way... (which I figure isn't really likely since I do not have as dark of hair). Of course, you are still far from 60, and I bet you could rock a little grey well! More power to ya if you keep your natural hair color :)
